City of Dijon
A cultural destination by essence, Dijon is the capital of Burgundy-Franche-Comté region, located in the center-east of France. Crowned with the label "City of Art and History", the city center is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site within the "Burgundy Vineyard Climates".
Dijon offers the visitor an entirely pedestrianized city center. Half-timbered houses, Roman and Gothic churches, and 17th and 18th century mansions majestically highlight the medieval streets of the former capital of the Dukes of Burgundy.
Gastronomic capital and wine city, Dijon is famous for its culinary specialties: mustard, escargots, blackcurrant cream, chocolate and traditional french gingerbread...
